Inch north and you’ll hit Sunny Beach, known for its soft sands and neon nightlife. Or maybe step the pace down in Blue-Flag status Duni, a popular family pick, or laid-back Ozbor, with its mountain backdrop.

Sunny Beach and Golden Sands are appropriately named and Nessebar, has more beach than you’ll ever need on one holiday! Old Nessebar is a UNESCO-protected site, and it’s a wonderfully atmospheric place to relax with a glass of the excellent Bulgarian wine.
Should you want a meal with your wine, Bulgarian cuisine is hearty and spicy. Classic dishes include stuffed peppers and meatballs and many restaurants will stage a show during the evening, often with traditional music and dance. For something more lively, why not head for Sunny Beach or fashionable Bourgas, which is also a good place to find handicrafts such as ceramics, wood carvings and carpets.

Due to its proximity between both the old town and Sunny Beach, New Nessebar will appeal to the younger generation and families, thanks to the variety of facilities and activities available, including the wide stretch of red sand beach.
Sunny Beach
The most established holiday resort in Bulgaria, Sunny Beach is a hive of activity with a variety of affordable restaurants, pizzerias, cocktail bars and clubs plus mini-golf and an aquapark. The Blue Flag beach is a stunning 7.5km of golden sand. New Nessebar lies at the end of Sunny Beach with cafés, shops, traditional restaurants and just a few clubs and bars.
Nessebar
Split into two parts, both the new and old towns of Nessebar have something special to offer. With beautiful views from its shores, the old town just out into the Black Sea. The new town is scattered with cafes, bars and restaurants outside, enjoying the benefit of the Bulgarian sun.
Duni
South of Sunny Beach, Duni is situated in a quiet golden-sand bay. A secluded, self-contained holiday village, surrounded by picturesque countryside, Duni is ideal as a quiet base from which to enjoy a relaxing break. The nearby historic town of Sozopol is well worth a visit.
