St Stephens Cathedral

Known locally as Cathedral St-Etienne, this stunning building was once two different churches, which were joined in the 14 century. They boast a nave 41 metres high and also can point to 6500 square metres of stained glass windows, more than any other building on earth. With illuminations inside showing off the beauty of the windows until 1am every day, you can visit during the day or at night and not get bored of the stunning beauty of this building.

Quartier de la Gare

Built in the boom period just before the World Wars, this square is surrounded by a number of buildings as part of the Germanisation of the city. With both Romanesque and Renaisaance influences you can enjoy the sandstone, granite and basalt buildings from either side, and can compare them to the less well built French limestone buildings in the area.

Centre Pompidou-Metz
